OLED (Organic light-emitting diode)

Bright display technology developed first by Eastman Kodak. It should help replace liquid crystal displays (LCD) screens first on small devices and then larger models. Technologically, the OLED display is made up of very small light-emitting diodes (less than one millimeter thick). Each pixel consists of three LEDs (red, green and blue) to produce the visible spectrum. Because this technology is made of glass or plastic it can be used to make flexible displays.
