Glossary terms, covering electronic products with the letter K.
BPS - Bits Per Second - is a measurement of transmission speed. KBPS means kilobits per second and 1000 bits per second. MBPS means megabits per second and is one million bits per second.
Kleer is an audio transmission technology. This technology is capable of transmitting uncompressed CD quality music (16 bit, 44.1 kHz) for mobile headsets or wireless speakers. When Bluetooth 2.0 can only transmit the compressed sound at a relatively low rate (300 kbits/s), Kleer technology enables high data rate for optimum sound quality. The Kleer radio protocol has been tested to not be disturbed by radio interference from WiFi networks and Bluetooth. Kleer technology allows up to 4 headsets to be on the same transmitter. Less energy intensive, this wireless audio transmission technology allows a range 10 times that of a Bluetooth transmission.
